Just another day at Empire Records...
Lucas cleaned out the register last night and went to Atlantic City. Corey has sworn to finally liberate herself from her good-girl virginity ... today. Gina's been there, done that, and will do it again. A.J.'s got to tell Corey he loves her ... well, maybe. Mark's band is gonna be huge as soon as they learn how to play something. Debra showed up and shaved her head. Tired teen idol Rex Manning is doing an in-store appearance with his had-it-to-here personal assistant, Jane. And there's a 15-year-old slacker calling himself Warren Beatty waving a gun and robbing the store. Keeping it all together is the manager, Joe, who's got just one day to save his store from a corporate takeover.
With this group, anything can happen -- and does -- as they pull together to save their store and save each other. As the day wears on, secrets are revealed, friendships tested, futures determined and pasts forgiven, and all the while, music plays.
"Empire Records" is fueled by songs that document the day, ranging from familiar favorites to new tunes by upcoming alternative acts. The soundtrack features the music of Gin Blossoms, the Cranberries, Edwyn Collins, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Better than Ezra, Cracker, Evan Dando of the Lemonheads and Ape Hangers.
Comments: Definetly a must see show. If you like music than you'll love this show. It has comedy, drama, music. Just about everything you could want in a movie. The soundtrack is also a must get for soundtrack collectors.
